Bridge Capital Revitalizes Capital Hill Baseball Field with Fresh Paint
According to Division of Parks and Recreation Director Mike Cruz, Bridge Capital generously funded the project with approximately $10,000 covering labor, supplies, materials, and surface preparation. “This initiative was completed without any government expense, thanks to Bridge Capital’s commitment to community improvement,” Cruz stated.
The repainting project, completed last week, addressed key areas of the facility, including the restrooms, dugouts, bleachers, press box, and pavilion. Cruz shared that he reached out to Bridge Capital after noticing the condition of the existing paintwork.
“Property manager Alex Palacios and I discussed ways to upgrade the facility, as it is widely used by the community every day,” Cruz said. “Bridge Capital was eager to give back, and we at the Parks and Recreation Division deeply appreciate their support. Partnerships like these are crucial because we can’t do it alone—we need collaboration between the public and private sectors.”
While the Division of Parks and Recreation will continue maintaining the facility, Cruz also encouraged the community to help preserve it and prevent vandalism, ensuring a welcoming space for everyone.
Bridge Capital remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that enhance the community and create lasting positive impacts.
