PIC Saipan donates $2.5K to IFC
April 2, 2010

Pacific Islands Club recently joined the Bridge Capital LLC corporate donation challenge by donating $2,500 to the Independent Football Club of Koblerville.

Two weeks ago Bridge Capital donated $1,000 to the IFC and challenged other corporations to donate as well. They also said they would match other donations up to a total of $1000.

The donations from PIC and Bridge Capital will pay for 120 kids to play football. This includes registration, jerseys, shin guards, water, and a couple of barbecue parties.

IFC is a community based non-profit organization focused on developing teamwork, promoting physical activity and good health, diabetes awareness, and building community spirit and a sense of pride in CNMI's youth.

IFC has earmarked the donations to pay for registration and equipment costs for the upcoming 2010 NMIFA Youth Football seasons.

“Most of the kids that join our club cannot afford the shoes, shin guards, socks, and registration fees; this is why we approached Bridge Capital about sponsorship. This donation will help pay for two seasons of soccer for at least 40 children from the south side of the island,” said IFC president Glenn Smith.

Bridge Capital, LLC is an international investment banking and asset management company located in the CNMI.

The company is involved in a wide range of community activities and makes significant contributions to non-profits and charitable organizations serving the islands. Bridge Capital is committed to being a good corporate citizen and a partner in making the CNMI the best it can be.
